Saarschmiede is one of the world’s leading experienced suppliers of special materials and superalloys for challenging applications and large dimensions. Our product portfolio includes ultra-high-strength heat-treatable steels, maraging steels, high-temperature steels, stainless steels including stainless age-hardening steels as well as high-temperature nickel- and cobalt-based alloys.
Our wide range of plant systems, with our 120 MN press and the differentiated options offered by our vacuum metallurgy, support the production of the most advanced materials. VI (vacuum induction), VA (vacuum arc) and ESR (electroslag remelting) grades, as well as triple-melting grades in conjunction with our comprehensive technical expertise, form the basis for our top-quality materials.
The various materials are fabricated through the complete production process – from melting, forging and heat treatment to ultrasonic testing and trials and finishing – into bars, discs, rings, hollow parts and preforms for drop forging.
