High-performance materials for improved productivity
The trend in tool steels is towards increasingly high-performance materials for blocks and workpieces. Saarschmiede is ideally positioned for this with its existing facilities for both smelting and for forging and heat treatment operations. In addition, with a vacuum induction furnace, two vacuum arc furnaces and an ESR system, melting and remelting units are available that can be used to manufacture products with the highest standards of purity, homogeneity and resilience of the material used.
